Malaysia Leadership Summit 2026: What to Expect This Year

Every year, Malaysia's leadership community gathers for one of the most anticipated events on the professional calendar. This June 30th at Sime Darby Convention Centre, Malaysia Leadership Summit (MLS) 2026 is back—and this year's theme might be the most relevant one yet.
The Inner Work of Leadership: Leading from the Inside Out
Most conferences will tell you what's changing in the world and what you need to do about it. Malaysia Leadership Summit 2026 opens with a different question, one that's harder to answer and easier to avoid: are you leading from a place you actually trust in yourself?
This year's theme, The Inner Work of Leadership: Leading from the Inside Out, is a deliberate shift toward the foundation that everything else is built on.
As much as the world around us evolves, the most meaningful upgrade a leader can make is themselves. It starts with being honest about the gap between the leader you intend to be and the one that actually shows up when things get hard.
That kind of growth doesn't fit neatly into a 90-minute workshop, which is exactly why a full day surrounded by the right people and the right conversations makes a difference.
A Conference Built on More Than a Day
Since 2013, Malaysia Leadership Summit (MLS) has been one of the flagship events under Leaderonomics, a mission-driven organisation dedicated to growing leaders across Asia. Over the years, MLS has brought together more than 5,000 leaders from over 120 organisations—making it one of the most established leadership gatherings in the region.
MLS has always been built on the belief that leadership should extend beyond the room it's practiced in. Every year, 100% of net proceeds from ticket sales are donated to Malaysian charities—making every seat at the table count for more.
Who's Taking the Stage
This year's lineup brings together 18 global and local thought leaders spanning leadership development, human performance, organisational culture, and executive coaching. A few worth highlighting:
Roshan Thiran, CEO & Founder of Leaderonomics, has spent decades studying what separates leaders who grow from those who plateau. His sessions have a reputation for being equal parts challenging and clarifying.
Rohit Talwar, CEO of Fast Future, brings a futurist perspective that reframes how leaders think about uncertainty. Less as a threat to manage, more as a space to lead into.
Cynthia Zhai, Founder of Powerful Executive Voice, works with leaders on how they communicate presence and authority—the parts of leadership that most training programmes skip entirely.
Nishant Kasibhatla, Keynote Speaker on Human Performance, unpacks the science of how we think and perform under pressure.
Scott Friedman, Co-Founder of Together We Can Change the World, brings energy and substance in equal measure. His sessions have become a crowd favourite across multiple MLS editions.
The full lineup also includes former global CEOs, executive coaches, and founders who bring real-world experience to every conversation on stage.
What Makes a Day at Malaysia Leadership Summit Different
The sessions are only part of it. MLS is structured to give attendees genuine access to the kind of candid conversations that rarely happen in a typical office setting. Senior leaders and decision-makers from across Malaysia come together in one room, and the networking is curated to make those connections count.
Past attendees have walked away describing it less as a conference and more as a reset. It’s an annual chance to step back, think clearly, and return to their teams with a sharper sense of direction.
