This Isn’t Just Another Day of Your Life

You think this is just another day in your life?
Your day begins with a choice the moment you open your eyes. A choice which will determine the next 24 hours of your life. Many people don't even know they're making it.
They wake up, grab their phone, and let the world dictate how they feel. But, there's something that happy, resilient people do. It happens in the first few minutes that have a big impact on your brain.
Neuroscience finds the first thoughts you think activate neural-pathways that set up an automatic response for the entire day. This is the "Primacy Effect".
Don't waste this golden window scrolling through other people's problems. Avoid the negative news. Don't immediately dive into stress. Instead, what if you could program you mind for peace and success for the day ahead?
You think this is just another day in your life?
It's not just another day. It's the one day that is given to you today. It's given to you. It's a gift. It's the only gift that you have right now. The only appropriate response is gratefulness. ~ Louie Schwartzberg
Do This Every Morning for a Better Life →
When we wake up, we can be grateful:
- We woke up.
- For the miracle of sight... the many colours we see.
- For family and friends.
- For a warm bed.
- A morning cup of coffee (or five).
- For the chance to serve today.
- For clean clothes.
The possibilities are endless, but you already know that.
These aren't just nice affirmations. These are reality based thoughts that can change your brain, and determine the trajectory of your entire day.
For me, I'm grateful I can counter the challenging times we all live in with my daily walkitation. Here's yesterday's in Campbell Valley Park:

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breath, to think, to enjoy, to love. ~ Marcus Aurelius
I try to remember upon waking, "This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it." ~ Psalms 118:24
When you start your day with gratitude you will be a blessing to every person you meet.
Then you can say, “Today was a good day.”
Thanks for reading. You are a genius!
