Your sour spot sucks the life out of you.

Your sweet spot goes beyond feeling good to doing good.

Find Your Sweet Spot

#1. How do you help?

  • What do you naturally bring to people?
  • How are people made better when you’re at your best?
  • What do people appreciate about you?

Don’t obsess about weaknesses.

Practical Project: Ask people who know you well for five words that describe you. Look for patterns.

#2. Who do you help?

Think about the goals, passions, and struggles of others. Which ones most capture your attention?

Study the people you love helping.

  • What are they trying to accomplish?
  • What matters to them?
  • What frustrates them?

Pour into people you love to help.

Practical Project: Write down five people you love helping. What do they have in common?

#3. What do you help with?

What challenges energize you?

Perhaps you love developing emerging leaders, bringing clarity to confusion, building teams, solving operational problems, or helping people navigate change.

What problems do you love helping people solve?

Practical Project: List three times you were energized by helping. What were you solving?

Craft Your Sentence

Put your observations together: how you help + who you help + what you help with.

My sentence reads like this, “I serve talented leaders by helping them see themselves, grow, and seize their opportunities.”

Write your own sweet-spot sentence.
