Are You Sabotaging Yourself?

We are constantly complaining about the obstacles and problems we face in our life journey. Most of the time, we are busy blaming external factors when we fail to achieve our goals.

It is much easier to blame a third party but have we ever thought that we could be our own obstacle hindering us from accomplishing things?

If you have the urge to do something but there is a feeling inside that screams you can’t or should not do it, without any rational explanation to back it up, then that is an indication of self-sabotage.

If you are doing any of the following things, that indicates that you have self-sabotaging behaviour and it is time to do something about it.

1. You are reluctant to promote your skills, qualities and your business (if you have one), for the fear of what others may think about you. Be confident, that is the key to achieving success.

2. You are a procrastinator. This is a definite sign of self-sabotage. You have tasks that can assure your success but you are constantly procrastinating when it comes to completing them. Sit up and stop putting things away. Aim to work on and complete all your tasks as they come.

3. You give up easily. You try one or two new projects and when they backfire, you get discouraged and let your disappointment defeat you. Don’t dwell on your failures. This will only stop you from progressing. Learn from your failures and use them as lessons to move forward and keep trying.
